Frequently Asked Questions

How long will my claim take?

An employment tribunal claim can take a few months to over a year to complete, depending on several factors.

While we will aim to reach a swift resolution, the total time will depend on how Bolt responds and the Tribunal’s backlogs.

We will keep you updated every step of the way.

Will I need to go to court?

Your claim will be issued in the Employment Tribunal.  If the matter proceeds all the way to a final hearing, you could be required to attend.  However, we would discuss this with you in advance and our aim is to secure a settlement without a hearing.

What documents do I need to provide?

You don’t need to provide any documents to claim.  If we assess you to be eligible and issue a claim on your behalf, we will let you know what information we need to calculate the value of your claim.

How do I know if I’m eligible to claim?

Complete your details and we will assess your eligibility.  It costs you nothing to enquire and there is no obligation to proceed with us.

If I win what will be the compensation?

We will seek to recover compensation consisting of unpaid holiday pay and any shortfalls in National Minimum Wage. The total will be calculated using Bolt data and financial documents and you will receive the sum awarded, less deduction of our fees at 25% plus VAT.

How do I apply to claim?

Complete your details and let our team take care of the rest. We will contact you to obtain further information and explain the process.

What if I haven’t driven for bolt in the last 13 weeks? Can I still claim?

If you have not driven for Bolt in the past 13 weeks, you will not be able to claim.

What happens if my claim is unsuccessful?

We can assure you that we will take all steps possible to secure a settlement but if your claim is unsuccessful, we will explain why and close the matter. You will incur no costs.

Do I need to pay anything?

No. We will act for you on a ‘no win no fee’ basis, meaning you won’t have to pay anything unless you win your claim. If the claim is successful, our fees are calculated as 25 per cent plus VAT of any compensation you receive.

If I claim will my job with bolt be safe?

If Bolt treat you differently, make any changes to your working conditions, or deactivate your account for making a claim, you are afforded legal protection.  We will seek additional compensation in the unlikely event of your job being affected.

Can I apply to claim if I no longer work for bolt?

Yes, but if it has been longer than 13 weeks since you last drove for Bolt, you will not be eligible to claim
